Meet Sylvia

My name is Sylvia, and my love for cooking began long before I ever realized it would become such a meaningful part of my life. I'm originally from Haiti and was raised in New Jersey by my incredible single father, who had a true gift in the kitchen. Growing up, I watched him and my oldest sister cook with passion and confidence, filling our home with unforgettable aromas and flavors. By the age of 14, I cooked my very first Thanksgiving meal completely on my own while my sister was out of town and yes, everything turned out amazingly delicious! That moment sparked a deeper confidence in me and confirmed that the kitchen was where I felt most at home.

When I moved away for college, cooking became my comfort and creative outlet. I found myself preparing meals not only for myself but also for friends who quickly became family around my table. As I got older, married, and started  a family of my own, my joy in the kitchen only grew stronger, I love exposing my kids to new flavors and cuisines so much that you could say they have very elevated palates! For me, food is more than nourishment; It's my love language. There's nothing more fulfilling than watching family and friends around the table, enjoying a meal I've prepared with heart. In those moments, I know my job is complete.
