Notes/Special Instructions
If your sauce isn’t thickening as expected, Cook it a bit longer while stirring occasionally. This will help it reduce and achieve that desired sticky consistency. If needed, you could also consider whisking in a small cornstarch slurry (1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 1 Tbsp water) to boost thickness.
Notes

Step 1: In a large bowl, add chicken tenderloins and season with black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and seasoned salt. Mix well then sprinkle the cornstarch over them. Toss gently until each piece is well coated.

2
Step 2: Pour oil into a large skillet and heat over medium high. Once hot, add the coated chicken. Brown the chicken pieces for about 3 minutes until lightly golden.

3
Step 3: In a separate bowl add brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil and water, stir until the sugar is dissolved. Set a side.

4
Step 4: Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add jalapeno and onion. Saute for about 6 minutes until everything is softened. Then add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.

5
Step 5: Return the browned chicken to the skillet, pour sauce over chicken and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes or until the sauce thickens.
