Notes

1
Step 1: In a large pot add chicken broth, minced garlic, minced ginger, wine vinegar, onion powder and sugar. Stir then add pork belly.

2
Step 2: Bring to boil over high heat, then place lid on, turn down the wheat and simmer for 1 hour. (depends on how thick the pork belly is might need to cook longer)

3
Step 3: In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, ginger, honey and chilly garlic sauce. Set a side.

4
Step 4: Turn off the heat, remove the pork from the pot and pat it dry using some paper towels.

5
Step 5: Chop the pork into bite sized chunks.

6
Step 6: Add oil to a frying pan and heat over medium heat.

7
Step 7: Add in the pork and fry, turning regularly, until the pork starts to turn golden. Be careful as the oil can splatter at this stage ( use a splatter guard).

8
Step 8: Now pour the glaze over the pork and green onion and continue to cook for a couple of minutes, turning the pork often, until the pork looks dark and sticky.

9
